Zanzibar Butterfly Centre

Launched in 2008 near Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park, the Zanzibar Butterfly Centre (ZBC) is one of Africa's largest, sustainable, community-run butterfly exhibits. It supports local conservation by training residents from Pete Village to breed native species, providing an alternative livelihood to deforestation. The center acts as a tourist attraction and educational hub.
